Few-body Physics in Cold Atomic Gases

 

Few-body physics has continuously played an important role in the development of the field of ultracold atoms. Few-body systems not only have their own fascinating quantum properties, but also have profound influence to the property of many-body systems. In recent years, there have been exciting experimental/theoretical achievements in exploring the few-body physics with cold atoms, including Rydberg atoms, quantum droplets, exotic cold molecules, and few-body interaction control, etc.

 

With these developments, we will organize an international conference on "Few-body Physics in Cold Atomic Gases" in Zhuhai, China on June 7-9, 2019. This is a third conference following the two ones held in 2013 and 2016 both in Beijing. The program of the conference will consist of about 20 presentations of most recent developments in this field and discuss future challenges and opportunities.

 

This conference is co-organized by Sun Yat-Sen University (Zhuhai Campus), the Institute of Physics (Chinese Academy of Sciences), the Institute for Advanced Study of Tsinghua University and Renmin University.

Once application is accepted, a fee of 900RMB will be collected at registration.

I. From Hong Kong International Airport, there is a ferry service to Zhuhai (https://www.hongkongairport.com/en/transport/mainland-connection/ferry-transfer.page). There are also coaches connecting to Zhuhai (https://www.hongkongairport.com/en/transport/mainland-connection/mainland-coaches/#content2).

Notice:

Passengers looking to take a ferry from the Hong Kong International airport to Zhuhai should proceed to the ferry ticketing counter at Transfer Area E2. DO NOT go through immigration and reclaim your baggage. Passengers who have gone through immigration procedures CANNOT return to the ferry ticketing counter and use the ferry service. After you purchase a ferry ticket, the ferry staff will go to the baggage claim area to hand pick your baggage and load it onto the same ferry boat you are going to take.

 

To use the service, passengers must:

  • Possess the following items:
    - Same day arrival flight air ticket / e-ticket / boarding pass stub
    - A valid ferry ticket
    - A valid passport and, if applicable, a visa for the intended destination (Mainland China / Macao)
  • Transfer to PRD / Macao within the same day of arrival
  • Arrive at the Ferries to Mainland / Macao Ticketing Counter located at Transfer Area E2 at least 60 minutes before the scheduled ferry departure time for ticketing and transfer procedures. For passengers without checked baggage, 30 minutes would be sufficient.
  • Following is the ferry departure time from the Hong Kong International airport to Zhuhai

II. From Guangzhou International Airport, there is a bus service to Zhuhai (http://www.gbiac.net/en/jtzy/citybus).

 

III. From Shenzhen International Airport, take a bus to Macau and get off at the Gongbei Station (Zhuhai) ( http://eng.szairport.com/szairportyw/dbyw/jcjt_lwga.shtml).
